Thoughts on the War on Christmas

The war on Christmas would change that. It would impose a cultural hegemony where “Happy Holidays” is a threat rather than a wish of happiness. It turns the Christian observance of mankind’s highest ethical desires – peace on earth, good will to men – into a weapon whereby people are stripped of their ethnic identity and their inherent dignity. It is the ultimate symptom of a faith that has been perverted for political gain. This is what Jesus meant, I believe, when he told the Pharisees that their good works were sepulchres full of dry bones. When you sow hate, you reap war.
